In 2007, I asked Tom Malinowski to help me record some demos for The Rocky Sullivans, as we were then called. He kindly obliged me, as he so often does. Here's one of those auld demos. It's a Bomb the Music Industry! cover, but with Clancy Brothersish instrumentation and arrangement, as is my way.

Back then, I took umbrage with the fact that I was sining Irish-sounding music with an out-of-place American accent. I tried to reconcile this by only allowing my first vocal take to be used. I don't know why that was the solution I chose, but it resulted in some wonkily pronounced, tripped over lyrics. Folly of youth.

Aside from a few pictures of us falling apart on the few stages we played, this previously unreleased demo is one of the few remaining artifacts of the original Rocky Sullivans. Kindly enjoy.
