Honestly, the first time I heard this song was in the movie, “P.S. I Love You,” when Gerard Butler sang it (in a surprisingly bad Irish accent), as did Jeffrey Dean Morgan (in a surprising decent Irish accent). I had no idea it was written by an American, but as it turns out, it’s a Steve Earle song from 2000! Well done, Steve Earle!
